All those admins’ glories are physically located at a protected data centre with both data
links and power lines backed up, correct temperature and humidity conditions and all
the rest that is required to keep the information secure and the process owners, serene
as usual.
The equipment complex is set up, monitored, optimized, extended and partially replaced
in the hands-on mode by Comrades with proven competences, who are responsible and
indecently well-paid.
And if we formulate it in an operator company’s perspective, Ultimate Cloud is a simple
and generally inexpensive thing that lets you forget the existence of servers and the
Everest of problems stemming from the said existence.
Which problems are brightly and audaciously described in gigabytes of admins’ folklore.
You simply install the Ultimate client application (an ordinary Windows application) on
your employees’ PCs, and the whole thing works.
For each 2С 9.0 installation for up to 12 users |
RUR 34,900
a month
|
Starting from the 13 th user |
RUR 129
daily
|
You can extend Cloud use
and add users
in your personal space.
Besides infrastructure lease and maintenance, the charge includes the lease of Oracle
Database 12c EE and Windows Server 2012 licenses.
Pay attention: the fee-based support packages, the Ultimate Cloud service and license lease
for users (more than 12) exist absolutely in parallel. Paying for one service does not
automatically provide acess to other fee-based services.
Being aware of the value of the data placed in Ultimate Cloud for system users and the
importance of continuous access to them, we assume responsibility for quality service.
As opposed to the ordinary market practice of the provider just charging no money for
server downtime, we guarantee compensation:
- for each incident that made the service unavailable for more than ten minutes, we add a
day of free use and, - in addition, we provide a month of free service for each full hour of cumulative downtime
over a calendar month.
This applies to the service being unavailable at our fault.
The Ultimate Cloud user remains responsible for keeping their own Internet link
constantly operational (at a minimum rate of 200 kbps per user; 500 kbps are
recommended for comfort).
A backup channel is recommended.
Schematic Diagram:
The service includes:
-
Primary DB: DB: a pluggable database in Oracle 12c Enterprise Edition, with Ultimate12
deployed and a disk array; -
Standby DB: DB: a backup DB supporting Maximum Availabilty auto switching should the
main database fail. -
Backup: Backup: a backup storage server. Full backup is done every week, and incremental
one, daily (doing it more often makes no practical sense because we have a Standby
DB backup server that mirrors the information on the main DB server); -
AppServer: a virtual machine with Ultima Application Server, Ultimate Export Server,
and Remote Desktop for one user deployed; -
Mail: a mail server, used for automatic e-mailings and notifications.
The mail server has a fixed external IP address for area attachment.
The PrimaryDB and AppServer are accessed from the workplace or for integration with
Umbraco through a VPN connection to Ultimate Cloud.
Access to AppServer is provided via RDP for one user; it can be used for a developer
and/or administrator.
The Windows client application is installed on end users’ PCs and uses a VPN
connection to the application server.
Ultimate Cloud gives access to computing power sufficient to support the comfortable
work of the number of users subscribed to, as they perform ordinary operations with
history data growing monotonically.
As the saying goes, ‘you can break your [anything] if you’re stupid’.
An external developer may implement non-standard functions not typical of bona fide
operation of an ERP system;
and/or implement quite ordinary ones cack-handedly.
Either case may result in uncontrolled consumption of additional resources and/or in
ordinary users’ transactions taking too long.
Such development must be excluded from the ordinary practice of Ultimate Cloud
operator companies.
In the best interests of bona fide users of our service, we reserve the right to
immediately block accounts performing compute-intensive operations of doubtful nature and notify the user of the reason. After the causes are eliminated, the blocking will be removed, and the blocking time will not be billed.
The technical parameters of the base package are as follows:
Initial disk space | 10 Gigabytes |
DB volume growth | up to 200 MB per user a month |
DB processor |
1 core for up to 40 users, plus a core for each full or part 40 users |
DB memory |
4 GB core for up to 40 users, plus 4 GB for each full or part 40 users |
AppServer processors | similar to DB |
Application Server memory | similar to DB |
The parameter values are given for reference only and can be changed without notice,
with service quality and reliable operation remaining our priority.
